RING STALKING!!

Tomorrow will start far too early in order to get to the hospital. I think my husband is not having good thoughts about going under the knife. I am not exactly looking forward to it, either. I keep telling him how much better he will feel. This may come back and bite me in the butt as he will throw it in my face as he recovers and is in pain. Thank goodness for the She Shed!

A few weeks ago, a package addressed to me arrived. That is not unusual, most packages are addressed to me. I opened it and was confused. I pulled a box out that said simply "ring". I showed it to the man in my life who is apt to buy things such as this. He had to tell me what it was. In case you are like me and don't keep up with technology, it is a doorbell with a camera. You can see who is there on your phone. You can watch the wind blow leaves, too.

The strange part is that we didn't order it and don't know who sent it. The return address was a distribution center and nothing has shown up as a payment from our bank account. Since my girls were going to be with us on Thanksgiving, I decided to wait and ask if one of them may have sent it. They didn't, so I called my son. He was as excited as his Dad about the item and after he talked about at length, said that if no one else claimed to have sent it, then sure, it was him. Funny boy.

Since he installed it, I have been treated to a non-stop monologue of the happenings caught by the camera. Driving home from the grocery he informed me that a package had been delivered. I had already been notified by text already, so I was not surprised. He watches this endlessly, even while we are watching TV together. I am unimpressed with this glorified gadget.

HeWho loves gadgets ordered another one! For the back yard. Oh, and two solar panels to power the gadgets, turning one unexpected gadget into four. He is thinking about another for my She Shed. Why? I don't know, but we have a garage and three more sheds .... This could get expensive, not to mention that he would NEVER put his phone down if he hooked them all up.

When I asked why he needed one for the back yard, he said we could watch the dogs when they go out. Keep in mind that we have a mere 350 square foot abode and getting from one end to the other is pretty easy. Besides, what do dogs do when they go out? The back yard is their bathroom. I don't need to watch. I am the one who keeps all the poop picked up and now he will be watching me do that!

Should this considered to be stalking?

  1. Not stalking, just a gadget happy man.

  2. Heh, heh! The only thing WE get that nobody orders is a poop box! That home test kit thingy. Maybe you'll get one of those next.

    1. Thanks, but I don't want a poop kit! I have to go the colonoscopy route, since my dad and his siter both had cancers of the digestive tract. I get an endoscopy, too. I asked once if the cameras met in the middle of me. They very seriously explained the procedure. No sense of humor!

  3. "no-one" has one of those so she can see packages that get delivered while she is at work and she can also see if anyone gets onto her porch and steals stuff, so that's handy.

    1. It does have a use, I suppose. It is the endless watching that makes me wonder about his mental status!

  4. Because you have so many visitors coming and ringing the doorbell? Oh well, if it keeps him entertained.

    1. It must be the hoardes of visitors that he watches! It does entertain him.
