Colors Of Fall

 

Fall colors are here. Even through the misty rain on an overcast day, the view from my bedroom window is impressive.


No reds yet when looking down into the ravine. It hasn't been weed whacked in awhile, but I like the fern patches growing. Hoping wood prices come down soon. This is where we plan to build steps going down to a deck to be nestled at the base of the trees. I can see it in my minds eye. Can you?


Plenty of red here outside my kitchen window. I love autumn colors. Makes me want to bake things like pies and cookies and bread. Like I am doing right now!

    I did a lot of baking when I lived in Alaska as a young army wife. I also eat ore of what I m,ake. like tioday it is chicken and noodle casserole. And if I had biscuits, well you know...
    I am amazed you will be able to maeuver steps. I'd opt for a slide. lol

      I want a slide, too! If only I can figure out how to make the slide easy to dismount and not get hurled into the stream or a tree!

    I've been driving a lot and reveling in all the colors, especially the occasional blaze of red glory. If only I could drive and take pictures. I'm working on a mouth shutter for what my eyeballs see.

      I do stand and gaze a lot. I hope I never get used to the view and take it for granted.

    We don't get fall color here unless we have an early cold snap and by that I mean before the trees just drop their leaves from sheer exhaustion.

  While awaiting the newest stove delivery I have been working in my She Shed, but the last several days have been overcast, damp and chilly. This has kept me inside. I tired quickly of Netflix and TV in general. Idle hands make me anxious, so I employed the help of HeWho sits and got down all the boxes of photos to sort. Moving To A new House Would Be Easier

  The big day has arrived! I herded the canines into my bedroom to await the new stove. Now, keep in mind that they could have simply sent a repair out to change out the one burner that did not work. Hold that thought ...... Instead of simply repairing an other wise fine stove, they insisted that they should REPLACE it. And, the replacement is TODAY. I am in my bedroom with my furry babies as I listen to a very frustrated HeWho trying to remove the door in order to get it through the only opening that will take it outside. Delivery men refuse to assist and even suggest coming back at a later date! My new stove is sitting just outside their truck on the ground, still in the box causing me to thing to myself "What the not heaven (thanks Val)". Do we now have to go and muscle that thing up the steps and onto the porch ourselves?? I went out to assist. Not much assistance, as I kept jumping back to protect the gouty toe. The Half Tooth Lingering In My Mouth

  Yesterday was almost bearable with the tooth pain. I took aspirin, tylenol and ibuprophen, rotating them. Went to bed and finally turned the TV off at 11:30. The searing pain woke me at 4:30 am and I have yet to find relief. How much Orajel is too much to ingest? Should I be worried? It doesn't help much, but gives a brief respite. My appointment was today. I arrived with time to spare and had the X-rays done and then the dentist came in, asking about the left side of my mouth. The broken tooth is on the right side. The last root canal and crown I had done is infected!! He said it looked like it never completely healed and this was done over 2 years ago. Having established that, he took a peek at the broken tooth and said it would need to be handled by the oral surgeon. Okay, I already knew that. I used my finger to trace the area in acute pain.
